Kristin M. Ruggieri
Kristin M. Ruggieri received her formal training at The Academy of Ballet Etudes in Norwalk. She continued her studies at The Joffrey School, Broadway Dance Center and Steps, all in New York City. Kristin was a scholarship student at SUNY Purchase's dance department and also studied musical theatre on scholarship at Marymount Manhattan College. She has performed soloist roles in Nutcracker, Coppelia, Pas De Quatre, La Sylphide, La Boutique Fantastique and many other classical and contemporary ballets. Most recently, she appeared in George Balanchine's Who Cares, and was coached by Judith Fugate, former New York City Ballet Principal Dancer and Balanchine Ballerina, and also as Cassie in A Chorus Line with Musicals At Richter.
Kristin founded Easton Dance Academy in 2001 and is pleased to announce her new partnership with Ms. Wiesner. She is also the owner of a full service dance shop in Norwalk, Attitude Dance & Active Wear.
Jennifer Wiesner
Jennifer Wiesner is a native of Guay
aquil, Ecuador. She earned a BFA in Dance at the National Institute Of Dance of Guayaquil at the age of 18. She also studied ballet with her sister, Ana Wiesner de Tamrazov, who studied in Kiev, Ukraine. Soon after, her teaching career began as she developed after-school dance programs for several different educational institutions in Ecuador. Jennifer has directed many youth programs and participated in numerous performances in Ecuador and The United States in ballets such as Coppelia, The Nutcracker, Celebration of the Dance, La Bayadere, La Fille Mal Gardee and many more. In 2001 Jennifer decided to take up residence in the USA. In 2003 she founded Jennifer Wiesner Dance in Stamford, CT and has since extended her influence by developing dance programs throughout Fairfield County. She moved to Easton in 2009 and became partners with Kristin Ruggieri at Easton Dance Academy where she is co-director and teaches the Jazz classes. Jennifer is currently the Artistic Director at Hall Neighborhood House Inc in Bridgeport. She sits on the Board of Directors of the Ecuadorian Civic Committee in Stamford and recently received recognition from the government of Ecuador for her hard work and dedication to the community.
